Create installations for an abandoned old house.
This work created for an abandoned old house. This place was called home. But since the residents have moved, the remaining space cannot be called home anymore. Home includes family and living. This space was once a family member, but now everyone has left. It must be lonely. When we treat this “home space” as a family member, I can feel its emotion. It stands there quietly and waits for someone’s accompany. Thinking about the relationship between human and space, focusing on the links of emotion, we redesigned the space. It includes several timing objects, therefore recording the time that visitors have spent in each spot, visualizing the time that visitors and the space have spent together. Human provide the space emotion, but sometimes neglect the space due to habits. I noticed that a space can express itself. It also needs accompany, and it hugs every acquaintance quietly. Within the space, I designed four objects that can be active in four different ways, corresponding to accompany, conversation, huddling and observing. I hope the visitors to experience the vivid life movement of the space instead of an abandon area.

这里曾经叫做家，家包含了家⼈与居所，其他人离开后，空间作为无法同行的家庭成员也会寂寞吧。 当我们将家的空间当做家庭成员思考时，我们似乎感受到了空间的情绪，它在静静地期待着人们的陪伴。以这个⻆度思考⼈与空间的关系，并着重于二者的情感链接。我重新设计了这个空间，其中安置了四个不同触发⽅式的计时物件，分别对应陪伴、观看、交谈、依偎四种⼈与空间的交互⽅方式。四个计时装置不断累积记录到访者在空间不同处驻留的时⻓，将人与空间共处的时间可视化。希望体验者仍能感受到空间生命的灵动，⽽不只是一个被遗弃的场域。
